1. SMM – Social Media Marketing refers to the use of social media to advertise products and services. Facebook and Instagram marketing are the biggest examples. Social media marketing is very effective in the current day and age because social media is able to change consumer behaviour. Because audiences can be better segmented than more traditional marketing channels, companies can ensure they focus their resources on the audience that they want to target using social media marketing.
2. SEO – Search Engine Optimisation works by increasing the rank of a certain website or webpage in google search results. This can be accomplished by using certain keywords or phrases in the website, so the ‘crawlers’ (these search the whole web to find the most suitable results for our search inputs) find the respected pages earlier, and thus they appear first on google.
3. PPC – Pay Per Click refers to paid advertisements and promoted search engine results. The advertiser pays the publisher for every ‘click’ on the
advertisement. This model, like the SEO model, is also based on keywords. Online ads only appear when someone searches for a particular keyword related to the product being advertised.
4. Email Marketing – It is one of the most effective marketing technique.Finding optimal audience is crucial for email marketing as strategic decisions can only be taken on the data collected. ‘Open rate’ and ‘Click Through rate’ are important features of a good email marketing system. To achieve a higher open and click through rate, companies may also send personalised subjects for each email.
5. Affiliate Marketing – People like influencers or experts in the product field are used to promote a product for either a cut in profits of its successful sales or for a fixed price.
