Nike Introduces Hijab Collection for Female Muslim Athletes

One of the top brands, ‘Nike’ has introduced a Nike Hijab collection for the Muslim athletes. The Hijab is  a light weight polyester called the ‘Nike Pro-Hijab’ shall be available in stores from early next year.

The hijab is light -weight, so the athletes do not get distracted while focusing and shifting their weight during the course of exercise.  After almost a year of discussions and meetings, the design of the Hijab was created. The final design of the Nike Pro- Hijab is that it’s made from Nike pro power mesh, which is durable. The lightweight polyester has tiny holes which provide for a comfortable breathing process and is completely opaque, with a soft texture.

The cloth is stretchy and elastic like, which helps to fit and adapt to the head and sport of the female athletes.   The threats used are fluff which does not allow any irritation that can occur due to sweat while playing the sport.  The Hijab would be introduced in the colours: Gray, Black and Obsidian. The logo of ‘Nike’ as requested by the athletes, shall appear above the left ear.

The main objective is to promote more Muslim athletes to play sports. This is for the girls and women of the religion who still are not able to follow their dream of becoming an athlete due to the restrictions they face.
